Privacy policy
This explains what personal information Motorlane Fleet holds and why. The service is run by Interstellar Alliance Ltd (company no. 17544206), 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, the data controller for account holders' information. Contact us at support@motorlane.uk.
What we hold
- Account holders: name, email, phone and company name, so we can run your account and contact you about it.
- Drivers: the details a fleet owner enters (name, email, phone, driving licence number and expiry), plus the checks and defect reports a driver submits. The fleet owner decides what's entered and is responsible for having a lawful reason to do so; we process it on their behalf.
- Vehicles: registrations, dates, costs, documents and photos you upload.
- Payments: handled by Stripe. We never see or store full card numbers.
- Technical: login times and security logs, to keep accounts safe.
- Website visits: we count visits without cookies. We keep the page visited, the website you came from and your type of device, plus a short code that changes every day and can't be traced back to you. We never store your IP address for this, and nothing is shared with advertisers or analytics companies.
Who we share it with
- Stripe, to take payments.
- The DVSA, when we look up a registration's MOT history (only the registration is sent).
- Your GPS tracking provider, if you connect one.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data only on our instructions.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
How long we keep it
For as long as your account is open. When you close it, we delete your data within 30 days, except billing records we must keep for tax purposes.
Your rights
Account owners can download a full copy of their data at any time from Settings. Under UK data protection law you can also ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how it's used. Drivers should contact the fleet owner first, who controls their information. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We only use the cookies needed to keep you logged in. No tracking or advertising cookies.
